Evangeline Ellingsworth
@_evviel_
Evangeline Ellingsworth has always been motivated by the fabrication process of design, emphasizing the curation of unique textiles and seeking out distinctive mediums, often salvaged, to create a nostalgic connection between the wearer and the garment acting as the environment. With her newest collection, From the Skin of Our Teeth, Ellingsworth explores clothing that feels protective and utilitarian through the path of preparation. Using unconventional materials, such as driftwood, furs, laser-cut leathers, and reclaimed nylon from camping gear, she speaks with an intentional tongue, asking the viewer to reassess their own relationship to land and citizenship.
